Do you ever worry? About random things or about things that are difficult or complicated? Or both?
"Is this just how student life is now? Will it ever get back to normal? How will I find a room? Or a job? What is my place in society? How will I pay for my studies? Will I ever be able to buy a house? What will become of our planet?"
Arnhem students have a few things in common. One is the future. No one knows what it will bring. But it is coming. Day by day. So doing nothing is not an option.
After several successful editions, Arnhem Studiestad is organizing another hackathon: the Student City Challenge Arnhem. During the event, which takes place on 13 and 14 October, you will work together with other students on challenges that affect your daily life:
We offer you 2 days in a great location with a team of dedicated professionals and a program that will inspire you to come up with solutions you never thought possible. The students with the best 3 ideas will go home with various prizes and a chance to win an Orion coaching voucher worth € 2,500, a stage at Innovate community and coaching by Startclub Arnhem.

Places are limited, so be quick. Also, think about what really frustrates you regarding the 4 themes.
Frustrations? Yes! Real human concerns and problems, preferably ones that you can control. The more specific, the better. Because we believe the best solutions arise when we really engage with the problem. Trust us, this will work. Are you ready for the challenge? And do you dare to take the future into your own hands?
A BILINGUAL EVENT
You and your fellow students will work as a true multidisciplinary team during the project. Depending on the composition of the team in Dutch or English. The workshops are in English, the presentations may also be in Dutch.
THE BEST COACHES
Want to learn from the best? Take advantage of the 20+ years of experience you don't already have? Need help staying organized? We have a great team of professionals who serve as coaches. They advise, support and ask the right questions to guide your team to success.
PITCH YOUR CONCEPT TO A JURY AND WIN
At the end of the event you and your team pitch your concept to a real jury and get a chance to win a great prize! These people know what a startup is all about and are keen to hear your ideas. There will be a workshop on 'pitching', so you’ll be well prepared.
The 3 winning teams will receive one of these prizes:
1st prize: € 1,500
2nd prize: € 750
3rd prize: JBL sound box
